Nicole Aquias

Hi, my name is Nicole Aquias! I am a fourth year ProCom student minoring in Public Relations and Sociology. I am interested in design and crisis communications and hope to find a job where I can apply these skills and interests.

Research

My research project observed the impacts of social trends in aspects of social groups, social belonging and how 'fitting in' is accomplished through the idea of conforming to social trends. Thus, throughout the research study I conducted a grounded theory methodology to discover how social trends influence university students and their observation and values of identified social trends currently. As a result, I found that social trends actively classify and create a basis of judgment through their conformity of current and ever changing social trends within society.
