Ava Mitradeo

Ava Mitradeo is a 4th-year TMU student passionate about sociology, communication, and digital culture. She studies how media, technology, and social norms shape everyday life, from online communities to physical spaces. Beyond research, she enjoys creating digital content and projects, exploring new ways to combine creativity with technology to understand and engage with culture, trends, and human behaviour.

“Burnout Without Language” explores how students experience stress and burnout when they lack the tools or vocabulary to articulate their feelings. The project investigates how social, academic, and digital environments shape these experiences, focusing on the tension between internal emotional states and external expectations. The goal is to understand how students navigate burnout, communicate (or fail to communicate) their struggles, and develop coping strategies, ultimately highlighting the gaps in how mental health is discussed and supported within educational and social contexts.
