Philanthropic Engagement in the Modern Age
This research study was conducted by Kathleen O’Nyon, a curious and passionate fourth year student at Ryerson University, majoring in Professional Communications.
Personability, relationship building and communicating sit at the core of my professional and personal strengths. I have an affinity for working with others and hope to find myself situated in a career that compliments that interest. My passions range from sports, to music, to social advocacy to environmental sustainability. I appreciate the versatility of this program and look forward to building upon the transferable skills and methods I have adopted over these past four years.
The purpose of this capstone study is to investigate current public discourse and attitudes of Western society surrounding the philanthropic sector, to determine whether or not there is a relationship between Occidental philanthropic engagement and the rise in global humanitarian crises.
