Biography

A fourth-year Professional Communication student at Ryerson University. Also competes for, and coaches, the varsity women’s volleyball team. Recently accepted admission to the Master of Teaching program at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto in hopes to pursue a career as a kindergarten teacher.

Research Summary

My research study focuses on the support services that Ontario University Athletics (OUA) student-athletes are provided with while playing on a competitive sports team at their university. As of right now, I have found that there are a lot of disparities between which services are offered to individual athletes, teams, sports and schools. As well, there is a lack of services that provide OUA student-athletes with the assistance to play sports at the next level.
