Defining ‘Company Culture’
Hi there! My name is Isabelle Zucca, and I am in my final year as a Professional Communication student here at X-University. Throughout my university career, I was able to hold a variety of roles in hospitality & tourism, retail, media, and marketing. As a result of the pandemic, I am currently finishing my studies remotely across various parts of Western Canada. Living in the Pacific Northwest has allowed me to fully immerse myself in nature. Here, I have grown to love camping, hiking, snowboarding, and all things in the backcountry while simultaneously completing my studies. My lived experiences tied with my educational background have shown me the importance of finding a position that allows me to align my personal and professional values. I hope to soon use my experiences to kick-start my career in marketing!
This research project aims to define ‘company culture’ through a mixed methodological paradigm. With the use of both primary and secondary research, this project will uncover the true meanings and impact that company culture can have on employee satisfaction and how this leads to company longevity. This project will cover a variety of variables, looking at all sorts of company benefits: Competitive salary, office events, technology allowances, mental health support, etc. The goal of this research is to hopefully show employers the importance of workplace culture and perhaps persuade them to properly incorporate their own set of morals and values.
