Hi! My name is Mikenna County, I am a fourth-year student in the Professional Communications program at Toronto Metropolitan University. With my interest and a minor in public relations, I have learned and have experience in digital marketing, social media, and branding.

Research Summary

In today’s society, social media is used daily by brand companies to market their brand and products. Findings revealed that a majority of consumers make purchasing decisions influenced by social media content, with TikTok being the most influential platform. TikTok creates trends and product recommendations and influencers on TikTok also have a strong impact on what people buy. Overall, businesses utilize social media such as TikTok to connect with customers and to succeed.
