The Psychological Impacts of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS)

Bio

Jillian Badgley is a fourth year Professional Communication Student at TMU with a great interest in the topic of PCOS. This condition is often overlooked by medical doctors and does not usually get the recognition it needs. She chose this topic to raise awareness of the ways it mentally and physically impacts those who suffer from it. Her goal is to help anyone who may have this condition and experiencing the hardships that come with it.

Research Summary

This research project aims to investigate the relationship between Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and mental health, specifically examining whether women with PCOS experience greater mental health challenges compared to those without, due to hormonal imbalances and elevated testosterone levels. After analyzing existing studies and research on PCOS and mental health, data was compared to determine if PCOS affects these issues more profoundly.
