Tessa Seferina

Biography

Tessa Seferina is a fourth year Professional Communications student focusing on Public Relations. During the course of her degree Tessa has tailored her courses to focus on public relations, corporate communications and crisis communications. She currently works as an Account Coordinator for a boutique public relations firm in Toronto. Upon completing her degree Tessa aspires to work in the crisis communications subfield of public relations; ideally in the sports industry.

Research Summary

Reputation is a study focused on sports crisis communications. This study takes a case study approach, using Situational Crisis Communication Theory as a theoretical framework and the Hockey Canada Scandal of 2022 as a case study to assess crisis communication responses and reputational damage in the sports industry .
