Biography

Cameron Johnson is a 4th year student at Toronto Metropolitan University majoring in Professional Communication with a minor in Music and Culture. He has an affinity for the arts, including music, film, and drama. His project is inspired by his passion for music and the music industry at large.

Research Summary

Various secondary sources were used to complete this study. For album sales and streaming data, sites such as ChartMasters and Spotify Stream Tracker were used to analyze sales figures over time. Music publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine and NME in addition to fan pages and blogs were examined to research behavioural patterns people showcased when discussing deceased musicians.
