Jaziba Atthwal

My name is Jaziba. I am a Professional Communication student at Toronto Metropolitan University with a strong interest in design, digital media, and creative storytelling. I enjoy exploring how visual communication and messaging can shape the way people understand important issues. Alongside my studies, I like working on creative projects and experimenting with design tools. I am interested in pursuing a career where I can combine creativity and communication to produce meaningful work.

My research project examines the exploitation of children on the platform Omegle, focusing on how anonymous video and text chats can expose minors to harmful interactions. It explores how the platform’s design, lack of moderation, and anonymity create opportunities for predators to target young users. The goal is to raise awareness about the risks children face online and highlight the need for stronger safety measures, platform accountability, and improved digital literacy to help protect minors from exploitation.
