Olivia Conick is in her final year as a communications student at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has loved her degree and learned more about her passion for marketing, storytelling, and the power of communication. She had developed a strong foundation in content creation, marketing, and leadership skills. She is so excited to begin putting her years of communication experience to work. Olivia’s ultimate goal is to always create and use that energy to make a business that lifts and connects people through communication.

Details of Project

This research project explores how social media and influencers affect consumers’ shopping. As social media and technology are unavoidable, this topic was the perfect opportunity to see how influencers are also great marketers. The research collected through primary and secondary data explores how effective this type of marketing is and what it does to the consumer, ultimately leading the audience to question whether they have been impacted by influencer marketing.
