Details of Project

Her research explores how young people engage with news by comparing social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram with traditional outlets such as CBC, CNN, and Global News. The study examines how each medium delivers information and how this affects young audiences’ perceptions, engagement, and media literacy. Through content analysis of two major news events and a class survey, the research aims to identify key differences in tone, style, and accessibility between platforms. This project emphasizes the importance of adapting news delivery methods to meet the evolving habits of younger generations in today’s digital age.
