Hello everyone! My name is Rochelle Hamilton and I am in my last year of studying Professional Communications:) I have huge passion for Marketing and Communications and Designs. In addition to my academic and creative pursuits, I have a deep passion for makeup artistry. Details of Project

After conducting my own research and reviewing existing literature, I became increasingly aware of the disproportionate impact of community violence and socioeconomic stress on Black youth. With many individuals in my community struggling with their mental health post-COVID, I felt compelled to explore these challenges further. My work focuses on understanding how these stressors contribute to mental health issues within this demographic and examines how family and community resilience-based interventions can mitigate these effects. By exploring culturally relevant approaches, my project aims to highlight the importance of creating supportive environments and implementing solutions that empower Black youth to overcome trauma and thrive despite the challenges they face.
