Details of Project

This project explores how media propaganda can lead to misinformation through media channels. Specifically,  how it can influence public opinion about immigration in Canada. Using content analysis as the primary research method, the study investigates the types and sources of misinformation, the emotional tone of immigration related posts, and the public’s engagement with this type of content. Key themes include the spread of false statistics, fear based narratives, and politically charged messages that misrepresent Canadian immigration policies. The goal is to understand how exposure to misleading information shapes perceptions of immigrants and immigration related policies, with broader implications for media literacy and social environments.
