Details of Project

This research examines how TikTok affects Gen Z political communication, emphasizing how the platform both encourages participation and increases the risk of misinformation. TikTok’s visually appealing, algorithm-driven structure promotes activism and increases accessibility to political content. However, the study draws attention to the possible risks of false information because of the rapid spread of unverified material and the power of social media influencers.

The impact of misinformation on trust in political sources, the role of influencers in forming political opinions, and how TikTok affects Gen Z’s engagement with political media are important concerns. The approach looks at topics including influencer impact, engagement, and misinformation risks.
