The print fashion magazine industry, once the dominant news fashion source, now contends with the rise of digitization and the prominence of social media. This research examines the evolving role of print fashion magazines in an era where online platforms, social media, and fashion influencers increasingly dictate trends and shape public opinion.
Through an analysis of consumer posts on TikTok, a review of current magazine content trends, and an interview with the Fashion News and Features Director of FASHION magazine, the project uncovers how print publications are adapting – or failing to adapt – to the digital age, ultimately addressing their relevance and future viability in a rapidly changing media landscape.
