Research Summary
My passion for communication within organizations has culminated in a groundbreaking project of examining the 2015 Volkswagen Emissions Scandal. This project offers a succinct study of the 2015 Volkswagen Emissions Scandal, looking at its communication tactics and lessons learned for successful crisis management in organizations. Volkswagen’s response to the crisis was examined using a case study and document analysis methodology, with an emphasis on significant incidents, communication strategies, and consequences. Key findings include Volkswagen’s initial denial, escalation to admission of guilt, crisis management efforts, legal proceedings, and the importance of ethical leadership and open communication channels. The study highlights the role of company culture, ethical considerations, and proactive communication tactics, and provides insightful advice for firms to avoid similar situations or firms confronting similar problems.
