Hi! My name is Angele Laporte and I am a fourth year student at Ryerson University in Toronto. I grew up in Clarington, Ontario and made the move to Toronto 4 years ago as I started my post-secondary at Ryerson. I have a strong interest in legal studies as well as writing.

Research

This research assignment took a legal and feminist approach to Canadian legislature, more specifically the introduction of Bill C-36. Bill C-36 made prostitution illegal for the first time in Canadian history and its effects were felt by sex workers across the nation. This research assignment centers around the basis that this new bill is ineffective of what its trying to achieve and through the use of an online survey I was able to compile opinions of Ryerson students on the topic as well.
